Effects preset and model icon - 4.1.5
« on: June 15, 2015, 05:14:35 AM »
Where about  is the model icon on the toolbar added in this release ?

Also , how does the 'effect presets' functionality work ? I found it finally by right clicking in the grid..
If there is a 3.6 video explaining this , would be happy to look as I assume it is previous functionality.

Usually when a new icon is added to a toolbar you gotta grab the toolbar and move it a tiny bit to get the icon to show up...just move the one where the house preview icon is and you will see the new one show up to the right of it.

I wrote the Effect Preset code while on vacation so there is no training video.  Any old 3.6 videos won't help much because it works different now.  To create a Preset you select the effects you want in your preset the exact same way as you would to do a Copy.  Then click New Preset and name it.  To use a Preset click in the grid to set a destination just like you would to do a Paste and then hit Apply Preset.  If you select some effects and hit Update Preset it will modify the currently selected Preset.  Think of it like this.  Presets use the Copy/Paste logic underneath so you are basically doing a Copy/Paste but have the ability to save it for later.

thanks Gil - this is excellent (save "pattern" as favourite !) I did not know what it (preset) was meant to do at all....
Also thanks for the toolbar info
