Share a "Face" sequence with me?
« on: July 10, 2015, 09:06:17 AM »
Won't go into the details, but I am on a very limited time schedule to not only learn NC4 but REALLY want to tryout some FACES on a pixel tree that I have up right now. I am going to have to take it down in a week and 1/2 so really need to get on this.

ANY sequence to share would be greatly appreciated. I have NO CLUE on how to set this up on the Papagayo tab either.

I have a 24 strip, 40 pixel high tree. Anything to share?  I know how to make the Matrix Face move via a sequence, but again am limited with time to put something together. Also have been reading up on the various threads, but am still lost :-(

Thanks for anything with this.

I was in the same situation so I went here  www.holidaysequences.com and bought some then converted to xL4.

I have MANY "Talking Pumpkin" sequences in LOR I could use.  ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6y90gFLAkI0 ) is just one of many I have. I was actually thinking about making a BIG ghost of my pixel tree and then put a small talking skull (http://www.holidaycoro.com/The-Singing-Monster-Quartet-p/2.htm) on top of the tree. So some of the sequences I have would go right into the "skull" since I will be using LOR controllers with it.

Ok....
So I can take some of my LOR sequences and do this.  I am just really lost on the steps to set this up. I see some mention of manipulating a RGB xml file, but not sure how to do at or what to put in there. Several threads I am reading over now.

Sure would like to be able to play with this tonight when it gets dark ;-)

Hi Robert,
I will send you a seq I have been playing with in a couple of hours when I get home.
It has faces that I will play on a matrix
I will also update the document I had attached on how I did that , but only tonight my time.

Also, if you already have a singing face in LOR, you can use the import, import effects to import that LOR seq into xl.
I have not seen your video as yet is blocked where I am right now.

Gerry just sent you a PM on this.
BTW, I have your doc file up on my other screen and studying up on this. Again, just a really dumb newbie with this program and not completely sure on some steps :-)

Hi,

I have attached a zip file containing updated instructions (see section after Image). I did this in a hurry as have to go out.
the zip file also contains the faces I have used as well as my xml seq (may noit be of much use), audio file and the .pgo file.
I created the seq and tested it in preview.
So you should be able to follow the steps , use my pgo file as input , the song I have attached and instead just map to your tree. Not sure how it will come on a tree .  the mouths are in seq , so just select each one as per the screen shot.

Not - am new to this as well , but it renders on my matrix except that I probably need to adjust the size etc.
