I have pixel tree sequence converted to .vix
I'm in vixen 2.1 now.  The pixel tree channels are starting at Channel 1.
Is there a way to make the pixel tree channels start at like 300? Or do I have to start my Renard channels where the Pixels channels stop.
I thought that I could bring in a pre sequenced vixen sequence that I did with Renard channels and have them start at channel 1 before the pixel tree channels.
How do you all do this when running pixels and LED string in the same sequence?

Are u exporting as a vix or vir file? If u use vir you can import the routine file and paste anywhere in your vixen sequence

Ok, I didn't know what a .vir file was before.

I imported it as a .vix file.
After that, I was looking for some info and just happen pick on your Mar21+spreadsheet+vixen.mp4 video last night.  I think I will be able to do what I want after viewing it.   I'll keep plugging at it.
Before I watched the video, I was having some difficulty figuring out how to migrate on-off and dimming channels that I have already sequenced and are controlled by renard with the converted. xseq to .vix pixel tree sequence.

I noticed that when I used the converted .xseg to .vix sequence in Vixen 2.1 that the pixel tree sequence started at channel 1.

I was wanting to make the pixel sequence start about 301 so that I could have the on/off dimming channels start at channel 1.

Does one have to make a .vir file to make the Pixel sequence start at any address. Is that the only way?
Or is there a way to set the pixel start channel when the sequence is first being setup in nutcracker

I'm not sure if this will help answer your question but, I use a USB to RS485 converter (up to 4 com ports) for my Renards. I set up my first 512 channels for use as Renard channels, followed by 2 universes of Pixelnet channels. The Renard channels start at 1 in my sequencer and the Pixelnet channels start at 513. Just remember that the first pixel address is physically set to Pixelnet(DMX) channel 1 on it's controller. See the jpg of my xLights setup screen below.

Ok, I see what you did.  But..... since I am used to sequencing Renard on/off & dimming channels in Vixen. I feel more comfortable doing them in vixen.

A question I have for you is, are you sequencing your Renard on/off and dimming channels using the Xlights software?  Or are you just using that Renard 512 setup in Xlights and leaving those channels blank until you get the file converted over to .vix and then continue the on/off sequencing in Vixen?

I don't know if I did this right or not. I don't have a way to test it yet.

I managed to get the pixel mega tree sequence exported as a .vir file and I placed that file into a vixen sequence. One of the sequences that I used last year with all LED strings.

I don't know if what I see is correct or not.  All the pixel grid squares are all white.

Is this they way it should be or did I not do the export right?

Well after getting pixel strings wired up to controller and some testing done, I found that it doesn't matter about what color it is on the grid. that doesn't have any thing to do with the output of the controller to the pixel string.
