I recently started using the 'reveal' feature that had been introduced recently. I love it!! I use it in 'curtains' and in the 'center eye' of the butterfly effect. My kids call it the 'evil eye'.
With the center 'evil eye' of the butterfly effect, 'opens' then you can have text behind that becomes revealed. This text is not visable until the eye opens. When the rainbow 'collapses' over the eye, then the text dissapears. There is enough space in the eye opening to put in two short lines of text. I use 97.7 on the top line and FM on the bottom line. This acts as a 'tune to' sign that is embedded in the programming. This 'tune to' sign does not reveal itself until the eye opens. Very cool!! I try to use this 'revealing eye' in every song. The 'tune to' appears to come out from behind the 'evil eye'.
I also use this effect in the 'curtains' When the curtain opens, We now have four lines of text to work with. My megatree uses 46 vertical strips but still limits me to about 5 characters that fit behind the curtain. If the word exceeds 5 characters, then I have the text scroll to the left. This only is revealed while the curtain is open. I slow down the curtain time and speed up the text scroll time. So when the curtain opens, it reveals what is behind the curtain. Again, very cool!! I use it for trivia, song titles , singer name, show hours, and parking instructions.
Anybody else using 'reveal' in a different way? --Greg--
Kudos to the author of the reveal effect.
