Supplier for LED strips
« on: August 26, 2015, 07:09:09 PM »
I've spent quite a bit of time shopping online. I think I've been through Ray Wu's entire inventory and the usual suspects stateside. I came across a company in Texas SIRS-Electronics. They have all the high-end DMX Starwars stuff and a section on low-cost RGB.

There's lots of info in spec sheets and wiring diagrams. I sent a general sales inquiry via email and they responded in two business days. It looks like they have  5050 60LED/m RGB 12VDC for $35/5m spool. If I'm not mistaken, it's 4 wire. Connectors, power supplies etc.

Any advice or customer testimonials is appreciated.

I'm somewhat new to RGBs (2 years), but I have made two purchases so far from Ray Wu.  One was a non-group buy purchase and the other was part of a Lone Star Holidays group buy.   Both were good experiences for me--I got what I asked for, delivery was as promised, all my stuff worked, etc....   I am currently awaiting shipping of this year's new RGBs from HolidayCoro (my portion is held up by CG-1500 enclosures-arrrgh....).    I am not familiar with the vendor you noted in your post, but I thought you might be interested in others' experiences.
