Suggestions for audio equipment
« on: September 04, 2015, 07:54:32 AM »
I'm working with a non-profit on a mega tree display. It's outdoors in a public space. I'm looking for suggestions on audio equipment I could recommend. Tight budget of course. We've got the sequencing stuff figured out. I'm trying to help with the audio part of the equation.

IMHO

In case you are not aware, there is a potential problem with a public presentation of music that is not public domain music. There is an organization called the RIAA (Recording Industry Artist Association) which requires that music being performed in a public venue to pay a licensing fee for that privilege.

I would recommend that the non-profit contact the RIAA and see if there are exceptions or low cost licensing for a non-profit to use any kind of music other than public domain music.

Do not ask to know all the answers, but ask to understand the question.
