There I was, happy with my 108 channels of DMX.
Several single colour silhouettes and a few RGB Stings...
And my little prog to run it all..... 

But then read about all the pixel trees and matrices etc.....

Long story short.....
Imported 2 E682s and the first batch of what I am now expecting to be many pixels....

Not on a par with many, but from 108 to 1608 channels in one leap is a bit of a step...

So just a thanks for corrupting me.......

Sounds like you have contracted the CLAP. 

You will have to devote much financial resources to this addiction and much time to sequencing. The end result will be many happy little faces pressed against the car window staring intently at your lights and listening to the music, kids of all ages, from 2 to 92.

An additional 1500 channels could be just merely a megatree on 15 outputs with 100 pixels per strand. Whatcha gonna build with those other 17 empty outputs ?

I thought that too when I first looked RGB.  Now I find myself looking at something around 13000 channels and I do not even have a matrix or any P10s.  Maybe next year........

Not that 1608 channels is "small" but compared to many I agree with you on the small side....   Anyway, I will quote a Joel Osteen saying--don't confuse small with insignificant!   I am really glad I dipped my toes into the RGB waters in 2013 when I put up my first synch'd display!    RGBs are just SO capable.   Have fun!!

Well I have been syncing mine to music since 2008.
Designed and built 95% of it myself and modified the rest..
Mainly on the grounds off being a cheap skate!!!

Not many doing that round here ( I am the only one so far within at least 40 miles as far as I know)

Going to start small (yeah right!!!!) due to time to get it sorted, was thinking 400 nodes on a 180degree tree.
Then I know it's going to explode from there....
Got the 2 units as it was just easier to, and as I have just found out, gave me one that I could use to fault find on the other....

Now got them both talking to my iPhone on the network, just need to configure and test them live...

Going to run it alongside my old stuff and develop from that.
