Unable to get replay to work
« on: September 28, 2015, 09:26:24 PM »
Release 4.2.12.
Short sequence (40 seconds).

Just trying to get it to repeat while I check out the actual lights.  Try to click the replay symbol (two bent arrows to the right of the play controls).  The sequence will play through - 1 time.

I've tried setting limits (area to play).  I've tried to do it to the whole 40 seconds.

Nothing I do will cause it to lock into a replay mode.

Is there something I'm missing?

That button should be greyed out since I never wrote any code to handle it.

Thanks Gil.

Trying to learn both the new version of xLights and Vixen 3 at the same time has its downfall.  Sometimes the same functions appear (or should) in both.  I get confused.

Glad to know as I was trying to get it to work the other day.
It's not disabled for me either.

Maybe you don't know what disabled looks like?  Show me a screenshot.

If you highlight an area on the waveform, and click play, it wil play that area. Then press the spacebar and it will repeat.

That screenshot isn't really valid.  It's just showing all the controls as active because that's the default state.  Once you actually start to play or preview is when the controls mean something.  Watch in this video at 1:35 when I drop the first effect on the grid.   You'll see the repeat goes inactive.  Now do we need to continue all these posts are do you have the message that repeat is not implemented?

Seriously Gil, you asked for a screenshot. Maybe you should have started with your last explanation first.

This could have ended with Gil's first reply as he explained it perfectly.  Great, here I go continuing this discussion.     ::)

Yeah sorry I'm kinda worked up today.  The day started out with me almost getting into a fight in CircleK.  Some dude started yelling at the cashier and then slammed some stuff on the counter towards her then he came right near me and grabbed a display of apples and bananas and slung it down all over the place and out of 9 people standing in line afraid to say anything I just can't sit by and watch people act like that so I said "Dude you need to chill out".  Then he got in my face saying what are you gonna do about it.  I said "I'm trying to keep you from getting into further trouble."  He yelled some more at me and I had my fist cocked and ready.  So again I said "just settle down it's not worth it getting into trouble for something simple" and then he left the store.  The guy in front of me got scared and left.  That's just me I don't know when to back down.  I used to have a second job as a bouncer so I was used to diffusing situations or tossing people out of the building when needed.
