Detault Models in Sequencer?
« on: September 29, 2015, 08:38:11 PM »
When starting a new sequence, is there a way to set a "default set" of models for the new sequence?  Or do I just need to choose my models the first time I open up a new sequence in the sequencer then save that setup for the new sequence?  I did some word searching on the forum but did not find what I was looking for.  Thanks.

If you are good with editing xml you can copy a set of models from one sequence .xml to a freshly created one. Otherwise I have never seen such a function. Could be one of those hidden options though.

Look up views. There is a master view, and you can create your own.

What I did was create a group in the layout tab called all models save it, then when I start a new sequence I just select the views drop down and select all models then switch back to master view and all the models are populated there
 Hope that helps

The above are better ways, but you can always create a sequence with all the models the way you want them and save it as master seq.  Then edit the sequence settings for audio and time and do a file save as.  Each time you want to start a new seq, just open the master seq, do the edits and use file save as again.

Thanks for the replies.   I really appreciate the help.  I think I see how to do this now.   And I am changing my models too.   Still a long way to go but getting better at using xlights...
