Import crash after reaching 37 nodes
« on: October 05, 2015, 06:34:41 PM »
My first attempt to import an LSP file into Nutcracker met with a number of crashes until I ended up importing one model/node at a time, except for one model/node that absolutely refused to let me import it's effects. The effects on that model/node was similar to another so I just copied the effects over and finished the first converted sequence.

Then I started a second import of a different sequence but when I reached 37 model/nodes NC crashed no matter how I approached the import, Map or individual imports. I have attacheded a crash file which includes the next model that I tried to import and got the crash report.

I have 7 more Halloween sequences that I want to convert over but this is frustrating.

Thanks for any help on this you can provide.

In LSP try to convert to a conductor or LOR file...then import

We solved this on Facebook last night.  It was a bug in the program but there was a way to avoid it.  If you try to import into models that are hidden and not displayed on the grid that will cause a crash.  I've checked in a change that fixed that but you could just unhide everything and it would work.  I realized this morning I probably need to look at all the other import functions because this wouldn't be isolated to LSP imports.

Maybe that will fix my import failure when importing an xml file.

I just want to thank Gil for staying with this. I would give him the golden pixel support award for dealing with apparently difficult to isolate problem. I have worked as a support engineer and it takes lots of patience to deal with some problems that you can not easily reproduce and the customer is repeatedly experiencing.

I would give his support ten smiles   :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
