Need help setting up xlights with new hardware??
« on: November 11, 2015, 01:56:08 PM »
Ok so let me start out by saying im a real noob. last year i set up a megatree with a pixlite 4 and decided to use a pixlite 16 this year so that i can run 1 universe per output to make it easier for me. i have 16 strands of pixels 134 per strand. Here is my xlights set up that worked last year. when i go to advanced on my pixlite 16 it shows the universes outputs have the same universe. Im lost sorry.

Did you ever get any help on this?? I'm not familiar with pixelite, but i'm sure its the same basic jist as the rest of the controllers.  I can probably get you going in the right direction if you have not done so already.

Fisherman, your pixlite16 advanced config window should have start channel of 1 for every one of those outputs.  To the controller, you are starting at channel 1 for that output.  It looks like you are trying to put in the matching channel number from xlights, which is not the way that is setup.  Your pixlite4 should have been the same way.  You see how your end channels are spanning into another universe?  That shouldn't happen when you only have 134 pixels in one output of a pixlite controller.

Let me know if that doesn't make sense.  I've accidentally done the same thing a couple times before...

And I would probably uncheck automatic sequential channels at the bottom.
