Data Layer import
« on: November 23, 2015, 04:03:09 PM »
Gil I start a new topic just for you  :)

What tells the data where to sit?

If I import an lms file as a data layer, do I need to have the nodes defined in the lms file the same as the nodes in the, I would assume the xml file?

You first need to define your models (and their channels) in xLights
This must align with the definition , especially channels in LOR
Use the  convert ' with verbose' option to get a listing of the mappings that the software sees between LOR and XL.
You dont need/want the output of the convert though.
Add all the models to a view .
Use the  import layer to import , render all and play.

Thanks Gerry

For what ever reason this now seems very simple.
