Firmware update of Alphapix 4 fail -> dead

I attempted a firmware update of my Alphapix 4.  Attempting a factory reset results in a blank display and it can no longer be pinged. 

Sadly, I used Waterfox and Safari in my attempts and David recommends only Google Chrome (which I have since downloaded and installed.) 

Does anyone know how to salvage this?

Hi Rick, I see you have 24 views for your query and no help. I guess the other 24 had a bad update too.

I have the AlphaPix 4 as well, I used IE 11 it went fine.
