What is the cross-over button for?

They are used when you are using the auto sequence feature of xlights

The cross means they will be randomly shuffled through their available values. If you click to a RED lock, they the current value shown will be the only things used.

To autosequence click the "Create Random Effects" button shown by RED oval in the folling picture

If you right click a cell you can protect already picked effects so they wont be effected the next time you press this button.

To create a sequence, auto method
1) Get timing marks from audacity for a song. Use vamp-plugins.org, Queen Mary set
2) Create a new song to a mp3 file and use the timing file created from audacity
3) Attach models to the newly created sequence
4) Lock down some choices befre pressing "Create Random Effects"
5) Press "Create Random Effects" , sav sequence
