Hey that's so cool seeing the sequence alive on the other side of the world 8). Shows the beauty of Xlights and how easy it is to share sequences. Glad to hear that the light sabre effect does show up ok.

Electrician has been here and replaced the RCD so hopefully I can get to see the sequence run on my own display tonight  ;D

Hope you got the electrical issue resolved.

I've been working on the sequence for my show and like others ran into the light saber problem.  I was able to map the strands individually on to my models and all looks great.  I'll make a video this weekend of the finished sequence so you can see how it plays!

Thanks for doing such a wonderful job!

Now that I read what a RCD is and your comment about people walking through your show I appreciate why you have these. In Canada I'll have to check to see if they are required by law. I do not invite anyone on my property, have ground fault circuits and generally believe I have protected including trip hazards for the most part , but I can really see the benefit for RCDs.

I never heard of RCD's either but reading that it sounds like what we call GFCI circuits that are required on all our outdoor electrical circuits and any circuits in bathrooms where water is present.

Yes as far as I know they are the same as the GCFI. We call them RCDs here. It turned out to be faulty. Replaced and all back up and running. Have 3 RCDs on the house circuit board now - I asked electrician to put the outdoor power points on their own one. I think it's  pretty standard now for new homes built here to have 3 or 4 installed on the main circuit board.

Second sequence done. I realise most people do a bit of MJ for halloween but as I don't do halloween lights, I thought I would do it for Christmas. Not christmassy at all, I know, but so far the visitors have enjoyed it (especially the little three year old boy who visited last night getting his groove on like a mini John Travolta.)
If anyone happens to want the audio - pm  ;)

edit: trying to attach the xml file but keep getting an error that the server won't accept it. Will try again later

Not Christmasy, but you show extremely well what can be done with RGB and nutcracker.  I love it.  You give us all a goal to shoot for in sequencing, unfortunately for me it is a goal that is way beyond my capability..

I'm not sure what the story is but I cannot attach any files to a post so I can't post the xml files. I keep getting an error saying that the attachment couldn't be saved. I have tried from several different computers with no luck. Anyone else having this issue or know the solution?

Are you clicking the "Attachments and other options" right below the box you are typing in.  Once you click that it opens up and there is an attach box with a "choose file" box.  Click the box and choose your attachment.  Working fine for me.

Video of Logan's great work....This was first displayed tonight in Albuquerque, NM

The response has been un-believable due to the soon release of the movie

Logan....Great job!!!  Hope you Like it..it needs a bit of work, but not too bad for a "draft" cut

That was cool John. Loved the way you had the millennium falcon come in on the two different trees. That's an impressive display you have there.
I laughed when I saw the message on the tree at the end  ;D ;D

Yes that is how I am trying to add the attachment. It worked fine at the beginning of the thread for the previous sequence. Just doesn't work for me now. Weird  :o
I might put the xml file in my public dropbox folder if anyone wants it (link in first post).
