Perspectives Window and others
« on: December 14, 2015, 03:45:06 PM »
I started using the Perspectives function and switched between some produced perspectives and saved moved some windows around. during one switch, I lost a few windows now I cant find them. I tried relaunching, I tried to "View""Perspectives" "Edit/Load" and the Perspective window is not presented.
Help! without some of these, I cant use xlights to its full extend (like, Effect Assist, Timing, etc)

If I reinstall xlights, what are the items I will mess up?

Does the menu

View - Windows

allow you to open up the missing items?

Perspectives usually get messed up when you switch from a dual monitor to single monitor configuration.
To get it back to square one:

Note where your show directory is defined.
Press F10 for a configuration backup
Close xlights
Browse to the show directory and open the xlights_rgbeffects.xml file with a text editor, preferrably notepad++.
Delete the contents between the <perspectives> and </perspectives> tags.
Save the xml file
Open xlights
Recreate your perspectives
