Fade from start of effect
« on: December 18, 2015, 08:05:12 AM »
OK... I am editing this first post with the questions and answers I found.

First, Thanks to flyinverted for the help!

What I was trying to accomplish:

I have a ton of DMX LED Elements in my show.  I wanted to have the same basic effect that they have in LOR with the lights on full at the start of the cell and fade out during the duration of the effect.

I failed by trying to use the Fade In and Fade out on the Layer Timing window.

The answer:

In the ON Effect just set the Start Intensity to 100 and End Intensity to 0

Problem:

What if you were like me and already have a million ON effects on your timeline??

Answer:

I had a LOT of ON effects already in the Sequence and I needed to change them all.  All you have to do is be in the right timing so that the the effects you want to change are lined up with the timing marks and select them.

Change the ON Effect to the desired result and then select either the Update Button of the F5 Key on the keyboard.

This will change all of the ON effects in one mass change

Use the fade in and fade out options.

If the effect is a colorwash you can set the amount of the fade to start and end with.

Do not ask to know all the answers, but ask to understand the question.

Thank you! I just saw the Start Intensity and End Intensity on it now that I have HUNDREDS of effects in already!  LOL

If I select all of the effects and change the setting will it do a mass change?

Answered my own question on this one.

Make sure you are in the right timing and then select all the cells and  select the F5 Button and it will update all of the effects.
