How to make a swirling lightening look?
« on: December 22, 2015, 09:55:53 PM »
So i found something that looks kinda neat but not sure how to replicate it in xlights. Maybe someone could suggest how you could make this swirling lightening look.

Wow that house is somewhat annoying to watch....lol.  Unless you have a serious amount of pixels you're not going to have enough resolution to do an effect like that.  The way you would do it is you create a video and render it to your pixels.

Yeah i'd agree its a bit over kill on the house but i was just curious about that effect. I guess that makes sense to make a video rendered to something crazy like that. I've never thought about rendering a video to make effects. Thanks!

That is done in Madrix with Stellascape pixels.  Massive number of pixels as Gil said.

Therefore once you have the pixel density that would emulate it a bit, you should be able to do it in Glediator. Or the other program that is similar, I forget the name.  Record it and then pull it into xlights.
