Setting up the e.131 setup
« on: December 29, 2015, 03:38:57 PM »
Hi All,

I have another noob question.  I have put together a spreadsheet like the one used in the video https://vimeo.com/130035888.  My question is how does this translate to the Set-up tab if I am using a Falcon F16-V2 as my controller.  I have broken up my display into zones so that the data signal does not have to go all over my house.  Do I map the actual channels in the set-up, or do I have to worry about universes and the 170 channel limits?  I Guess I am missing how I get from the logical model layer, where the channels are sequential, to the actual set-up.

thanks in advance

Hi,
On the xl setup tab , you map the channels to the Universes (you actually indicate  that Universe 10 contains channels 1 -99 , U 11= 100 -250 etc)

Now on the F16 , you then map for each physical output , which universe is supported and how many pixel nodes (where a node is 3 channels).

So
Port 1 is Universe 10 , start Channel 1 Pixel count 33
Port 2 is Universe 11 , start Channel 100 Pixel count 50
