xlights 2016.2 Import error
« on: January 27, 2016, 09:38:59 AM »
Trying to import a few effects from another xml, like I have done in previous versions and it crashes every time. I choose, import, change extension to .xml and then browse to the xml file I want to import effect from. As soon as it tries to open the file it crashes every time. I tried in 2016.1 as well as 2016.2 and no go.. Also tried a few different xml's etc. no luck.

If you're on a Mac, I uploaded a 2016.2b that should fix this.

If you're not on a Mac, you should be.   ;D

just go back to 4.2.3 while we track down (i mean Dan and Gil when i say "we") the source of the error. It is a very esoteric issue, not obvious at all. The initial release found repeatable crash cases that Dan and Gil are using, so it has been very helpful.
