Expotring Megatree model from XL/NC to HLS
« on: July 21, 2014, 07:51:35 PM »
HLS requires a "whole tree" model (360 deg) regardless of how much (e.g., 180 deg, 270 deg) of the tree will be lit.  Here's my question--for my 40 string HLS model (I am lighting up 180 deg, 20 strings), should I model the XL/NC tree as 20 strings or 40 strings?  Thanks in advance!!

40 strings will have the effects on it. you can call it 180,270,360 degrees. the 40 strings are just moved around so they display correctly.

just use 40 strings on your megatree and pick whatever you want for our preview, it wont effect the actual effects on your tree

Thank you sir.  I thought I had read that before, but couldn't remember.  I appreciate the info.
