Holiday Coro 2016 Coro Candy Canes
« on: March 04, 2016, 10:07:00 AM »

I just wanted to make a couple of comments about the current coro candy canes that Holiday Coro is shipping.
The black has the outline for the rectangle nodes and the top is now rounded at the corner rather than a square butt joint.

With the rounding you can use your coro claw and make slits to go on the inside and get a smooth curved edge on the outside.

Many forget to run a return wire out of the Cane but the new ones now show the routing for this wire and the dividers allow for the wire to run through them.

I am very pleased with the new modifications and I am sure any one ordering these will be also.

I mention this as I was reluctant to order any of these but I had rectangle lights on hand and wanted to use them so I ordered some to see how they would work.

If you watch the how to video it shows using the square lights not the rectangle (BTW you need 6" spacing to work), but the light output from the rectangle really makes these look good.

I would also suggest that you use a very good glue gun and glue as most hobby guns really make this kind of project a real chore. I used a Surebonder and 15" lower heat glue.

Just a thought
Thanks
Kent

I thought I would add a couple of Photos that shows what I was talking about - top curved.
