Win 10 question or an adjustment in xLights
« on: April 02, 2016, 08:28:36 AM »
I am not sure if I can adjust this in win 10. Or this is something that needs adjusting in xlights.
I am now using a large monitor for my main 3840 x 2160 Resolution and when I right click the text size is ok but when I use the drop down menu for effects, as an example, the text is very small. In Win 10 I have looked at the "advanced sizing of text and other items" and it seems to be no help.

Just wondering if there is another place to look

thanks
B

High resolution always seems to result in smaller text which is why I almost never use the maximum resolution of my monitors.  Viewing gets worse as you get older too, ask me how I know (will be 74 this month).

Very funny Mr Gilrock....Lol
although I have used one of those looking at part numbers.

And for you Mr Jim,    Congratulations!!!!!   I will turn 65 at the end of this year, so I am not far behind.

I thought for sure one of you would say learn the symbols for the effects so you don't use the drop down./

I guess I need to make a request for an enhancement option to increase text size in drop downs like we have for the icon size...

I recommend having multiple monitors. You don't need crazy resolution. 1920x1080 is all you need. You will get more done quicker with multiple monitors vs one larger monitor, at least I do.

Well now the jokes on me.  As a result of doing the search to post that joke the internet now thinks I want to buy these magnifying glasses so they are showing up in side Ads on Facebook and everywhere else.

Once you have used multiple monitors you never want to go back.

Just a note about it.  On my computer the second screen shows up on the right.  You have to re adjust Windows to put it on the left.

I'll be using Macbook pro and iPad. No worries.
