Brightness of p10 panels
« on: June 08, 2016, 07:28:12 PM »
Hello

Ive been searching the 3 or 4 forums i use for information on panel brightness for pictures and videos. Effects look good, just pictures and videos that appear to bright or to dark when start lowering the brightness and playing with contrast. I do not have an enclosure yet if that makes a difference.

I was wondering if there are good settings that people use to get good looking images or videos on panels. Should i use a piece of plexi or lexan with the film sheet on it, an off white POLYPROPYLENE or something else? Played with the brightness and contrast for a good while tonight with no luck really. A Frosty video is the main video that im having issues with. Not sure if the lighter background with ba white Frosty is the issue or what. Just learning so appreciate any info or help.

Thanks in advance

Try a really low brightness like 25% to 30%.

Thanks and sorry for not responding but thought I had. For a short distance viewing, everything was to bright I think. I purchased some 1/4 inch natural color lexan which came in yesterday. I was able to test today and it made a world of difference at a short distance viewing for video and pictures. Glad it worked because that stuff isn't cheap. Now to get started on building the enclosure.
Adding 2 pictures I took from the videos. Still hard to get good pictures. Have the brightness at 60.
