Holiday Coro Rainbow Drop Icicles
« on: July 01, 2016, 10:44:01 PM »
I have these rainbow drops in my show, and I am trying to get them set up as a model in Xlights/Nutcracker. I have programmed these for the past 2 years, but I would love to use Xlights with these and I am adding some other new RGB elements also.

They do not make these any longer, but I have them and would like to keep using them.

They have 14 nodes on each string. Each drop/leg is a node, not each light. When I try to set up a model in the icicle type, it looks like it is looking for individual lights, not groups of lights on the drops.

Any help or tips on setting this up would be appreciated.

Here is an example of what they look like

You'll need to make a custom model.

It will look like this:

1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9   etc etc etc
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9

As long as you get the start channel correct, the model will work.   Remember to use empty cells between the 1,2,3 to get the aspect ratio to look correct on your model.

Cheers,
Steve
