How do I sequence vertical lines on a horizontal matrix?
« on: July 03, 2016, 06:12:37 PM »
I have a 12 x 30 horizontal matrix. I am able to sequence the individual horizontal strings. My question is: Is there a way to group individual nodes from each string to create vertical lines for sequencing in the matrix? For example: s1n1, s2n1, s3n1..........s12n1 would be vertical line 1.

What are you trying to do that the bars effect will not work?

I need to have 2 individual vertical lines and precisely control their movement back and forth horizontally. This would be to represent a light saber battle. I have done it horizontally on the matrix but think it would look better with vertical lines.

Thanks for the assist.

I would create a line, or something that would resemble a saber. Use picture effect and try rotozoom.

If you were happy with the horizontal effect, you should be able to use the same effect and in render style rotate 90 degrees.
