colour pattern using WHM
« on: July 16, 2016, 09:57:41 PM »
HI, have imported logandc99's star wars sequence , i am geting red artifacts at the node level when they should be blue.. If you try and change globally using WHM, selecting a "red ON" generates a blue colour down the nodes, selecting "Blue ON" generates a red shift, light blue and yellow are also interchanged whilst green and pink stay as selected.
Changing the colours to another choice stops this process, changing the colour to the 'faulty colours' on another selection point still generates the error.
Also created my own WHM from scratch and still have the same problem.
Only way to fix is to go thru each element and check it at node level - a little tedious.
Did this for a section and then tried the WHM method, reset tit back to the mixed up colour regime

It should like your models are off by one channel somehow? Are you saying the model on the screen is displaying incorrect colors or an actual prop is wrong?

the actual prop is displaying the incorrect colour when selected. this applies to other effects when added to the WHM
,so not sure whats going on at all

Are the colors correct on your models using other effects?

If it looks correct on the screen but not the actual lights then you have a channel assignment problem.  If you're saying it's incorrect on the screen then you need to provide the files and a description of how to show the problem.

hi Gil, it shows incorrect on the preview but correct on the screen
the two pix attached show at element level and then when you expand
to node level- all is red.
I  have changed and corrected this by deleting and replacing but to no avail
the WHM lsiting shows the same problem.
If correct colour schem and re render then problem comes back,
If i switch from red to blue then the opposite colour appears??

I need files that don't have a boatload of name mismatch errors when I open them.
