Odd channel ranges in test tab
« on: July 20, 2016, 09:09:35 PM »
I am playing around with the new DMX effect and moving head models to work with my moving heads. Currently I have the models moving fine in the sequencer screen but when I connect the headlights, they move around randomly and not like on the screen. I am working through various reasons why this would be happening but wanted to eliminate one odd thing I noticed.
In the models setup, I have two moving heads, 9 DMX channels each, and both in Universe1. I have one using channels 17-25 and the other 89-97 (see pic1).
But when I look in the test tab, those models have massive ranges (17-32674 and 89-32674 respectively).
Does this matter and is it likely to cause problems?
Cheers
Logan

My guess. A bug in the model not returning right number of channels. I doubt it is causing your issue though. Will take a look at it when I get time.

Yes I think you are right, the odd channel ranges in the test tab are not the issue.
I since managed to work out it is the way the DMX out was configured on my Falcon F16v2 and now I am able to get the light to pan and tilt as per the DMX effect settings  :D
Now going to work on the getting the light colour and gobo to be controlled. So, getting there slowly  ;D ;D ;D
