X-Mas in July
« on: July 22, 2016, 03:05:07 PM »
Once again its x-mas in July where I camp. I use it as a good testing ground. So off I go, grabbing a mega tree, 2 candles, 3 3foot snow flakes on stems, my spinner and 5 flakes. Had ended up with a bunch of issues. The worst was my mega tree. Lights were flickering. First I found I was stripping the wires back to far where the went into the controller but the biggest was I was starving the power supplies of amperage. Once I split them up and got them on different circuits everything cleared up. Everyone has been going on about power injection but nothing ever said about the high voltage side and feeding enough on that side. Good in good out. Looks like a few dedicated circuits for my setup. Just some food for thought.  I'll post some pix later when it gets dark. Hmmm think I'll win the contest?

Nice!  You are so ahead of me!!!!  I haven't even ordered my pixels yet nor the controllers.  Not sure I'll be able to afford everything this year now.

I should come visit you and see first hand your items as I'm only about 45 mins. away. :)
