Hi, I just spent the last 3 hours working on segment of my sequence where I wanted to quickly alternate between two different colors. I was wanting to basically ramp up and ramp down alternating pixels in the string with white and blue colors. So one pixel would be ramping up/down with white and the next pixel would be ramping up/down with blue color but they would be alternating in intensity (when the white was full intensity, the blue would be at the lowest and vice versa with the blue.
I first tried to do this on the entire model using two separate layers but I could not get the second layer to show up (so the White would show but the blue wouldn't.
So that is when I went to the individual nodes of the model. Very time consuming since the copy/paste action would only seem to copy/paste to the visible screen. But I got a couple models all setup the way I wanted and they looked correct in the preview but I decided to save the sequence and afterwards, it lost all the staggered effects I had. See image attached. The top two rows is how I tried doing it in the layers but I then had done the same white/blue staggered effects through out all the nodes. After it saved, it all came back with just the single white items. And the preview showed only the white effects also. If I click on any of the features, it temporarily reverts back to what I had done (second image). But eventually goes back to the all white again.
So what I want to know, is there a better way to do something like what I'm trying to do either with the layers or something else that I'm not aware of. If not I'm thinking of throwing this all away and just readjust the timings and just alternate between my white and blue on the entire model.
I'm attaching my log files also if anyone wants to look at them to see if they explain why the display is reverting back to the way it is.
