Copy Paste Crash
« on: July 29, 2016, 02:56:42 PM »
Hi everyone. Total noob here. I've been lurking for a while and have purchased my first small set of hardware in order to learn how to do some small scale light shows.  Here's what I'm working with:

Xlights-Which I'm using to set up my sequence
FPP & a Pi
SanDevices e682
3-50 node 2811 strands.

I've got lots of questions, but currently, I'm running into my first issue.  When I copy and paste in the master view, xlights crashes.  Is there something I should be doing to prevent this?

I hope that I've provided enough info.  It's great to be here!

I've been having similar copy/paste crashes.  It seems to occur when I try to paste into an area that doesn't have timing-markers.

I'm on a Mac.

I just TeamViewer's with someone and now I see why you guys are crashing so I'll get it fixed.  Bottom line is if you do not see an area selected in the grid then the paste will be illegal.  I knew to never try that so that's why I never saw it.  If you don't have timing marks then unselect the timing track and then it won't crash.  Make sure you've clicked where you plan to paste and you see it highlight the area.

Ok this is fixed.  I'm now allowing you to select a target area for a paste when you are outside of a cell range when a timing track is selected.  Should also reduce confusion of why can't I paste.
