I bought several 8-channel LOR Singing Tree sequences last year which I have successfully converted to xLights to use with the incandescent singing trees at my dad's house.

At my house, I'm going to be using the Boscoyo singing bulbs which are a continuous string of smart pixels.

Is there some way that I'm missing to map the 8-channel sequences to the node-ranges the bulbs use?  Is my only option to create 8 models for each bulb?

Grab the custom data model with all pixels shown...when you go into the Layout Tab...in the bottom left dialog box there's a line with "faces" which will allow you to set the nodes you will use for each phenomes.  After that, use the embedded papagayo in xlights to do all the hard work.

That works perfectly with a Lyric Track

But...

I don't have Lyric Tracks with my LOR 8-channel sequences.  I can create a node mapping where I map "Eyes Open" to all the nodes that applies to, but I was curious if there was a faster way.  This way places On/Off effects on each node which I know is not the most efficient use of xLights resources.

Sounds like you've already figured out the 2 ways to do it.  You're trying to take single channel data from another program and have it trigger multiple channels after import.  Only easier way does not exist yet and that would be the ability to create ad-hoc models where you can assign any set of nodes and a way to group those into one set.

If you are using Falcon controller, you can use the virtual string function to group the smart pixels (make xx pixels act like 1) on the controller and not have to change anything in the software/sequencer.  Just another thought.
