Random effect issue when using Audacity timing marks
« on: September 03, 2014, 03:32:24 PM »
Sean,

I'm using audacity to create timing marks and that is working fine.
When the first mark is after 0.000,  the models will often have a random effect before the first cell starts.
I have fixed that in the past by adding a cell at 0.00 and setting the model effect to None.  That isn't working any longer.  I tried adding another cell at 0.10/model set to none with no luck either.

Here's what I did with 3.4.12
New Musical Sequence with audacity timing imports, chose the appropriate txt file.
Added my model, hit "Create Random Effects", edited the effects to taste, save and play.

In this particular song the music starts at beat 4 and then timing mark starts at 1.x seconds on beat 1 of the bar.   That beat 4 is where the random effect starts, I want it to start at beat 1.

(Eddie Money - 2 Tickets to Paradise)   Yeah I sequenced it as the theme is "Music in Paradise" this year.

How do I fix this?

Thanks,
Steve
