You didn't say how you were attempting to do it. I'll assume you are either not using control-v to paste which should work or you are trying to use the right-click menu which will be greyed out unless you do a dummy copy in the target sequence to trigger the flag that the clipboard has paste data for it. When you go cross sequence it doesn't know about the actions you are doing in the other sequence.
