Rochester weather
« on: August 31, 2016, 05:40:17 AM »
well here in rochester the winters are ruff to say the least So I have mounted as much of my contollers and power supplies inside. This is my basement. There is the DMX controller for the gift boxes and floods. The F16v2 will directly run the Mega tree and lights around the door and windows. My differential board will run 4 receiver boards in the attic and garage with only 2 outside in the elements. Seperate fuse boxes have been added for power injection.  The FM transmitter will wired for the antenna to be outside.

Nice!  Wish I could do that but as you have seen my yards I have to work with it's just not possible.  Long runs of wire be needed.  I envy those of you who can put their electronics in their garages or even basements to help protect them.

The controller I gave you was setup outside last year. Building a special enclosure is key but to invest that kinda time and money its scary to toss it out in the weather.  With the receiver boards at only 17 each to lose one not as bad.  I have a few more weeks of building my roof outline. I think I'll have a few roll of lights left over. If I do I'll send them your way.

And once again I remember why I moved from the Chicago area to the Atlanta area 26 yrs ago.  Good luck with the setup this year.

Haha yeah...  I hear you there.  I made my own cases for the first year and I have a few CG-1500 cases here and there too.  I wish I could put everything inside.  Would make me feel better but so far I've had no issues.  So far.

Well thank you for the offer.  I am still trying to come up with a display.  Just can't decide on things.  I should probably scrap the idea altogether this year. :(

Looks great!  Wish I could do that at my house.
