Re-name group crash

If you don't delete the group in sequencer before you re-name the group in layout...crash..It's consistent.

I just tried and it worked fine so it's something specific to your setup.  We can only fix things like this when you provide a set of files with instructions to recreate the problem.

OK, I just tried it and it did it again... In my main view in the sequencer , I have Porch Posts, went to the Layout, and Re-name group.. (IE Changed "Porch Posts" to "Porch posts") Go back to sequencer and it crashes...file attached. If I go to Edit Display Elements and delete it from the main view first, no problem.

Ok so now you tell us the rename involved nothing more than a capitalization change.  That is useful and should have been stated up front.  I didn't get a crash doing that but I did see a problem where changing the capitalization caused it to no longer show the group icon so there's problem there.

And regarding the crash you're log shows it crashed attempting to perform an Undo Move Effect operation but you didn't mention anything about Undo.  But I just tried that and it didn't crash either.  So I still can't reproduce your crash even when I use your files.

That was just an example to simplify and it's what I did to generate the crash report, it does it for any change. I didn't use the undo so I have no idea what that's all about. If you'd like I'll do it again and send you the file.

Here's the new report... I did see that the group icon didn't show up..I just thought you needed to re-load it. But when you open sequencer, open the sequence, then go to layout, change name and go back to sequencer....It doesn't do it unless there is a sequence open. that might have been useful info too, sorry.

Sorry Scott I can't recreate the problem.  I'm also unable to troubleshoot anything till next Tuesday so someone else will need to step up to the plate.

Thank you for trying, it's not a big deal for me, I know how to get around it. There must be something up with my system.
