Rendering issue.
« on: October 12, 2016, 06:43:57 PM »
Hi All,

1. Load Wizards sequence, I get a warning that "Bushes has no data", I select either ignore or delete model.
2. Play sequence and it looks just fine.
3. Click render all.
4. Play sequence and many models are now messed up.

I have included files.

Does anyone have any thought on what I might be doing wrong.  I'm on 50.

Thanks,
Rob

So when I go to help with something like this I have no idea where in the sequence to look for what you consider "messed up".  You need to point to a specific model and time span that we need to look at and say what its doing wrong.

OK sorry,

Seems like most of the models are not working, but the most obvious is the Multi House model (pink color), they are a custom single strand led model.  If you follow my steps above it should be quite noticeable within the first 5 seconds of the sequence.  I can try and capture some images for you tonight to show what I mean.  Other modes are off also like the mini trees.

Seems like the RGB model are OK.

Thanks,

Rob

But we won't get the same results following those steps.  When you opened the sequence and said it was playing fine it was using old data from the fseq file that we won't have.

Well I really didn't want the fseq file either.  They are too big and we shouldn't be attaching them here.  It doesn't matter what things used to look like it only matters what they look like now.  I probably will not have any time to look at the files.  I have time to reply to a few posts on the forum here and there.  I help when I think users have done a good amount of their own investigation.  But the files are here maybe someone else has time to help.  This is the time of year we all start working on our own stuff.

OK Thanks.

Is there an archive of versions from last year, November/December timeframe?  Maybe I could try one of those to start my debug?

Thanks,

Rob

I would start with where is model group "bushes".  Going back to an earlier version isn't going to fix it. On the layout tab if you select all models I see bushes, but there aren't any models in it. Why not? Perhaps go back in your backup history and see if you can find a working xlights_rgbeffects.xml file. You are creating backups, correct?
