Probably a simple explanation!
« on: October 17, 2016, 01:28:14 PM »
Well I downloaded the latest and greatest version of Xlights 2016.
For some reason...all my models ran away....gone. Which is not overly tragic as I should make some new ones.

But when I go into the Layout tab to build some new models, they don't display in the preview. If I hit one of the "wizard" buttons (arches, tree, etc), then drag my mouse into the preview area, the only things that show are the axis points. But there are no pixels showing between these points. I checked the node layout, they are accounted for....but there are no pixel lines. Checked the tutorials to see what I missed, but found nothing addressing this issue......which is probably just me.

Ideas??  Thanks! Steve

Sounds like an open gl problem. On the settings menu downgrade to v2 or maybe v1.

Very good.....thank you! I never would have thought of that. I had to manually set it all the way down to V1, it's all good!

Thank you! Steve   ;D

You may also want to try updating your video drivers.   Your drivers are reporting:

glVer:  3.2.9232  (ATI Radeon HD 5450)

whereas according to:
http://www.ozone3d.net/gpu/db/index.php?id=24890

the latest drivers provide OpenGL 4.3.   Thus, it looks like you have old drivers.   That said, your Windows 7 version might also be limiting things.

Uh oh......somebody is reading my debugging reports.  :)

Yes, I actually tried to up grade the video driver. But AMD moved my video card to their "legacy" support...which means that won't support it. I did get a "generic upgrade" that they suggested for all their unsupported products. It did improve my OPEN GL functionality to V4.0....but it eliminated all my HD graphics, so back to the old driver.

But I do appreciate the response and options! :)
