Video Effect - Start Time Enhancement Request

Would it be possible to allow for the numeric Start Time textbox to be directly editable rather than only being able to use the slider?  That would help me out immensely.

If you are having issues getting an exact setting, then select the slider and hold down left mouse, while holding you can use left and right arrow keys.

Actually, even when I calculate the appropriate value and stuff it in the XML it doesn't seem like the video starts at the right place.  I wonder if there is a keyframe limitation or something?  I can adjust it all day long and the video will be either early or late but never right on.

I've done some more testing with this and it just doesn't seem like the start time is accurate.  It's almost like it jumps to the first available keyframe in the video or something.

Have you tried other videos? If so, do they all behave the same?

I think I finally figured this out.  Even though the "Start Time" selector on the Video Effect shows numbers to 3 decimal places in precison, it is in fact rounding the "Start Time" DOWN to nearest whole second.  I generted a 24fps mp4 video with burned in timecode to demonstrate.  Files attached.

This being the case, maybe it should have been posted under Bugs rather than enhancements, but I would still also like to be able to type a number into that field rather than trying to use the slider and not get a number that I want.

This will be fixed in v51 ... but not the number typing ... that will have to wait till after christmas.

Is there a way (I'm using the Mac version if it matters) to adjust the slider at predictable intervals?  I don't feel like I have much control when I'm using the slider.

Pro tip...make the window wider and you get more slider resolution.
