Long render time due to Virtual Matrix and video effect

Thanks f everything you do. 

I have setup a virtual matrix using a projector.  (#strings=80; Nodes/string=160;start channel 31675).  The render time is around 2 minutes when I dont use the video effect.  When I add in video playing on the virtual matrix render time is about an hour and a half all due to the virtual matrix and video effect.  I only use 20-40 seconds of the video in 3 sections of the sequence. 

Any advice on how to shorten the render timer?



The video I am using is 1280wx720h frame rate 25fps and 4 minutes long

I have the same situation with trying to use a virtual matrix for sequencing, when the final production will actually just be a projector.

I wish there was a better way to incorporate a projector into our sequencing project (for example, the ability to drop-in a video window).

How big have you made your virtual matrix?

My virtual matrix is 80X160 horizontal matrix starting location is top left.

My temporary fix for this was to resize the video from 720x1080 to 480x854.  This has really help save times from over an hour to a few minutes.  Video seems to be fine on the projector.  May do further refinement once I get everything setup and vied from a distance.
