How to program Digital Meteor Lights
« on: October 30, 2016, 08:25:05 PM »
I have just purchased from Ray Wu the following Digital Meteor Lights:

30mm diameter 2M long 3D WS2812B digital meteor light;;DC5V input;128pcs WS2812B LEDs with 64pixels/piece;IP66

I have them in 2 meters, 1.5 meters and 1 meter sizes.

What I would like to know is how to set them up in xLights, how can I make them work and to look proper on the layout page.

Thanks in advance.
Skipper

I assume each of the RGB LEDs in the tube is a pixel?  If so, setup a bunch of single line props and drop effects on them.  Single Strand, Morphs, and Meteors would probably be best.

Use Single Line models or the Icicles model...lots of choices.

When I built my icicles, the icicle model was not an option.
I made a custom model would there be an advantage to using the icicle model?
