WHOLE HOUSE OVERRIDE
« on: November 06, 2016, 01:19:30 PM »
is there any way if I place an effect on the whole house model, it will overide the effect that's currently on another model?

Models render top to bottom based on the master view. That is why general groups should appear at the top of the list so you can override specific models.

further to the post above if i click on the whole house effect it does overide, but once render or save is pressed it will revert back to original setting and the override is lost

Most people override the whole house model with an effect from a single model not the other way around like you are doing.  If you want to do it your way you gotta move the whole house model to the bottom but that means any effect on the whole house model will blanket the whole show.
