Best way to add physical props during the season?
« on: November 06, 2016, 08:49:39 PM »
I thought I was going to be required to work in the northeast for 6+ months back in July/August timeframe, so I purposely didn't buy stuff and didn't start building things (megatrees, etc...).   I was not required to go out of town for that time period, so now I am very behind in building stuff.    What is the best way to add physical props during the season?   For example, I have a large matrix I need to finish building after I get everything up & running (target  is Thanksgiving night/weekend), probably add it by 1st or 2nd week of Dec.   It is currently included in all my sequences.   I would like to just leave it in all the sequences and add the physical prop as time allows, but I was concerned that it might goof up some effects I have applied to the "whole house" if it the physical prop is not installed.   Do I need to make two folders and two sets of sequences; one for "now" without this prop included in the sequences then one for "later" with this prop included? Your thoughts would be VERY much appreciated!!!   Thanks.

Unless that prop contains a unicast controller you don't need to worry about it.

Thanks Gil.   I am running all my controllers in unicast, but this prop "shares" a controller with other props.   I appreciate the info!
