XLIGHTS XPLAYER
« on: November 15, 2016, 10:20:52 AM »
Is there anyone on the xlights team that is familiar with the Xplayer window that pops up when running a MP3 or MP4 from the scheduler? I did speak with Matt Brown and Sean but neither are familiar with it ...
Let me shed more light on the subject..

I am duplicating my desktop monitor to my projector via HDMI to play MP4 videos from the scheduler. Everything seems to work great.  I have the scheduler check box set to full screen and I tested by putting a mix of songs in a playlist (MP3 and MP4)

When an MP4 is played the video plays as it should and a window pops up called the "XPLAYER" which shows the video being played. When and MP3 is being played that same "XPLAYER' window pops up showing  and audio wave bar that moves along to the beat of the music. The problem I have is since I am duplicating my monitor that audio Wave bar now shows out to my Video screen just as if its a video. I am trying to find out if I can turn that off and only have the "XPLAYER" window pop up when an MP4 plays?

Its a wxMediaCtrl object which on Windows should just be a wrapper for the Windows Media Player.  I've never run anything to see it.  "XPlayer" is just the title given to the window frame that houses the embedded object.

I'll have to google that to see if I can control when it comes on....thank you. Or maybe I can just select another media player that does not use that wave bar .
