Sequences in GitHub
« on: November 17, 2016, 02:52:05 PM »
Hello everyone,

I've seen a lot of requests for sequence sharing and, with a little google searching, have found some (the bulk on the nutcracker website).

I'm very pro- source control for work and decided to create a git repo for community-contributed sequences. I would solicit you all to add to contribute to a common repository.

I am new to the hobby and would greatly appreciate your efforts.

Sharing sequences needs to be done correctly to ensure users who download them have the simplest possible import experience:
- The zip file should be the same name as the show folder ... this helps ensure files are mapped correctly.
- All image files, videos, house pic etc should be in the show folder or subfolders of it.
- The xlights_rgbeffects.xml file must be included
- The house pic should be included
- If you use start channel formats that refer to outputs or universes then you must include the xlights_networks.xml file
Following these rules will ensure that users can import things quickly and easily.

No sequences ... but lots of other sequencing assets like images and faces can be found in this repository: https://bitbucket.org/keithsw1111/sequencing-assets/src
