Importing HLS to Xlights
« on: November 18, 2016, 10:28:31 AM »
Hi Guys,

The rush is on, and I'm starting to import my HLS sequences in to Xlights.  I've been doing OK with all the AC channels, but when it comes to my mega tree and matric I'm having a bit of an issue:

When I select My Matrix for the model to import to, and then in the mapping page I'm looking for what to import to it, all it gives me is all the nodes.  There is no selection for the entire matrix from my HLS sequence, just each of the 1000 nodes that exists in that matrix.

Hopefully that description makes sense, any thoughts?

You may find it easier and quicker to import as a data layer.

I would prefer to import the effects.  When I import as a data layer it seems to mix things up quite a bit.

sorry but it doesn't work as wanted, the node effects are not editable at all,
its easier to start from scratch, or import effects and then determine whole to use xlights to get the same effect, again not all is smooth and you can't replicate all the HLS effects (ie chases down the nodes as neatly as you can in HLS). Good luck, buts it easier to use the HLS as inspiration then see what XL4 effect comes close

Its hard to teach an old dog new tricks.  You need to quit trying to sequence at the node level.
