4.3.02 Its always something
« on: November 20, 2016, 11:37:04 AM »
I have my show, for the most part, ready to go with 2016.52. But I have set up last years display and computer running 4.3.02 and need to make some small changes. I am not using all of the displays.
So I go and turn on last years computer and everything boots up ok, but for the life of me I cant' get the Model View to show on the screen. (a side note "The software sure has come a long way") I have asked it reset the tool bars but the model and the house views are not there.

I am concerned that I will run out of time if I try to take it to the current version!

any suggestion??

thanks
Brad

Are you trying to use a sequence created in 2016.52 on a 12 month old version of xlights? That will not work.

As for your missing models problem that is almost certainly open gl related. Download 2016.53 and if dans latest doc doesn't fix it ensure your video drivers are up to date and if necessary start playing with the open gl version in the settings.

Thanks for the response.....

I got it figured out.

Generally I think I am starting to enter the panic zone.

And I know that panic does nothing but make things worse.

You asked it to reset the toolbars so that's what it did.  The model and house previews are not considered toolbars.  You gotta either do View -> Windows -> Reset to Default or Dock All.
