Using effects from LOR in NC
« on: January 14, 2014, 11:57:14 PM »
I have a whole bunch of effects in LOR for my CCR which I would like to bring into NC, but everytime I import the sequence none of these effects show up.  For example I have some chases and some effects I bought from Superstar, but they dont seem to be able to be importetd to NC.  Is there a way of doing this, so I can dump LOR?

Cheers

Yes you can.

Build a model for your ccr's

If you had 6 of them

Model would be
6 strings
50 nodes each string
One strand per string

After you add this model to the grid and have timing marks pi in the special effects
"None, none" for every cell where you want the original sequence data you imported to be left alone.

"None" as an effect tells nutcracker to NOT. Generate anything for that cell. If you really wanted to blank out a cell use color wash with one color = BLACK.

Thanks

Sorry, but I'm still a bit confused.  Do I do the file conversion first, then setup the model and then past none, none?  Do I then save this as an Xlights sequence and the old LOR Effects will just play?

build model, import lor. your model has now been populated because your model's channel range matched what you defined in lor.

go to preview and press play, you should see your effect on the model you built.
