Turn Model view on\off in layout tab?

Forgive me for this probably stupid question, as I have been out of this for about a year. I am running the current version 2016.53. In the layout section if I select the tab next to any of my models nothing happens. What I am trying to accomplish is select a model and only see it in the preview window. Any hand holding would be appreciated! BTW This new layout is awesome!

When you select a model name in the list on the left it should highlight that model or group in yellow.  It's not going to hide all the others though.

There is a model preview window and a house preview window.  Make sure you can see the model preview window and you have not closed it out.

Thanks Gil. They are highlighting. I was looking to hide all others. My layout is so stacked it is hard to see everything. Thanks for the quick reply!

You can create a new preview now and move that model to the new preview if you want to see it by itself.

Thanks Gil. Yes I knew that I could do that I just did not want to make a bunch of different previews. I was just thinking that in an earlier version you could select and element and the others would be hidden temporarily. Like I said I am just getting back in it. I am not even doing a show this year, I am just working towards next years display already.  I do really like the new layout though, I am just trying to get used to it. Thanks Again for all that you do!
