VU Meter behavior
« on: December 06, 2016, 02:18:36 PM »
It was my impression that the VU Meter, Timing Event Color would change color, based on pallet, of the element on each timing mark.

When I drop the VU meter onto the element, I basically get white across the entire effect.  I have a timing track generated from the Beats.  Applied the VU meter, set to Timing Event Color with Beats as the timing track.  3 colors selected for the color.

Does not matter what color I chose... it is all white.

What am I doing wrong?

Follow up... if I select a different timing track, then it works as expected.  Does not work for the generated Beats timing track for some reason.

Which brings up the question what timing track would be used for final render?

If the question is to me... I was assuming I could use the generated beats track and that is what I was targeting.  In this instance, I was able to create timing marks on another timing track duplicating the generated one.  The period of time for this sequence where I wanted to do this was 7 seconds so it wasn't too bad to do it manually.
